These two (2) adjacent plots are located in what I consider the most beautiful location in the Cemetery..to see exactly where they are, contact Sherwood Memorial Cemetary and ask them to show you Section 15, Lot 933, Plots 1 & 2. My description of where they are is: Enter the Cemetery through the gated entrance take the first right and then the first left (up the hill) and the first road on the right near the top of the hill. The lots are the ones located next to the graves of William R. Bryan and Jane H. Bryan (those are plots 3 & 4) in this lot. The plots are located near a small beautiful shade tree on a gentle slope. My reason for selling the two is I have re-married and my wife and I have bought plots in the town Cemetery where we currently live (Tappahannock, Va.). Sherwood staff tells me that these plots currently (June, 2005) sell for $1,300 each if bought from them. I will come down a bit on their price. Also when these plots were originally purchased they did not come! 'deeded', but with 'indenture' papers. Unfortunately, these 'papers' were lost during Hurricane Isabel, but Sherwood tells me that upon my selling these plots (providing purchaser with a Bill of Sale), they (Sherwood) will register and 'deed' these lots for a $100 fee (since the original papers were destroyed/lost). I will pay this fee to Sherwood for whomever purchases these two plots (I DO prefer to sell them both rather than individually).
